Tiger Facts
a) India has about 2,200 wild tigers - this is about half of the world’s wild tigers. Tigeropolis is reputed to be in Northern India in the foothills of the Himalayas.
b) An adult tiger on average weighs about 225 kgs - that’s about as heavy as two and a half people.
c) Tigers are very agile - they can leap over 9 metres - that’s longer than the world long jump record.
d) Tigers often hunt by night - in low light their eyesight is 6 times more sensitive than a human eye.
