- a) India has about 2,200 wild tigers - this is about half of the world’s wild tigers. Tigeropolis is reputed to be in Northern India in the foothills of the Himalayas.
- b) An adult tiger on average weighs about 225 kgs - that’s about as heavy as two and a half people.
- c) Tigers are very agile - they can leap over 9 metres - that’s longer than the world long jump record.
- d) Tigers often hunt by night - in low light their eyesight is 6 times more sensitive than a human eye.
